Les Ripettes is a pretty, flowery and tranquil campsite located on the south east edge of Burgundy, mid way
between Dijon and Lyon and approximately 25km north of Macon. With easy access from motorway network (20 minutes)
and a day's drive from the channel ports it is in a superb location for visiting this wine growing region of France, famous for the
original Chardonnay and Beaujolais wines.The rolling countryside of Bresse, with its timbered farmhouses with Saracen
chimneys and its floral villages, is easily accessed from the campsite. Further afield, but within easy range for
a day visit, are the Jura with its deep wooded valleys and spectacular waterfalls, the cities of Lyon and Dijon and also
Switzerland and the city of Geneva. Les Ripettes is also a convenient location to break your journey to and
from Spain, Italy or the French Mediterranean resorts
Les Ripettes is in a rural location, surrounded by fields and quiet lanes which are ideal for walking or cycling.
It is situated 4km from the small market town of Pont de Vaux , with its picturesque marina.
In the town are shops, supermarkets and a variety of excellent restaurants and bistros.
On site see plan we have 54 level and
very spacious pitches (150 - 400m2), offering both sunshine and shade.
Please note, despite their large, size we have a length limit of 8 metres excluding tow bar.
There are 2 blocks with toilets and free hot showers and there are also washing up and clothes washing and drying facilities.
We also have facilities for disabled visitors.
There are two free swimming pools, a play area and sandpit for small children, a large ball play area as well
as badminton, table tennis and a boules court.
All games equipment as well as board games and books are available to borrow free of charge from reception.
Touring caravans, tents and campervans are always welcome and we also have a fully
equipped mobile home available for hire
or,
if you prefer, you can book in for bed and breakfast in the owners house which is adjacent to the campsite.
Your hosts. are Bob and Angela and we are resident in the house next to the campsite.
The surrounding area is abounding with activities for all tastes.
During season we organise various low key events for group or
individual participation, including a very popular Sunday barbeque,
often with musical entertainment.
In September we host a dance week
Well behaved pets are welcome. Examinations for the pet passport scheme can be arranged at the local veterinary clinic
