2, rue Charles Dubois à Amiens

The tower where Jules Verne lived for 18 years is imposing and modest like the writer. A tower, a big veranda before an awning, two storeys, big windows open onto the world. This is a solid and deep house which is suited to the writing. It is spacious. Jules Verne’s ghost doesn’t’ t assert himself but he is there, he looks at the visitor from stained-glass windows. You can’t see him but he observes. If you look for him during the visit, you will find him and you will see behind him the retinue of shadows and of hundreds of his characters.
