The Jules Verne International Centre is an law 1901 association created in 1971 and which has been developed by a family in Amiens : Daniel and then Cécile and Maurice Compère. This centre gathers 350 members all over the world and has approximately 21 000 documents about the life and the works of Jules Verne.

The Centre is located in France, in Amiens, on two storeys of a house in which the writer used to live by the writer, 2  rue Charles Dubois.

The association is currently presided by Pia Daix, adviser in communication. Its board of directors is formed of 19 members among whom the greater specialists of the writer.

The objective of the Centre corresponds to several activities :
- Publishing: Jules Verne’s review, the Jules Verne’s exhausted texts, exhibitions catalogues;
- Animation of the “Jules Verne’s house” and the space “L’imaginaire”.
- Organization of wandering exhibitions.
- Organization of Evenings.
- Organization of International Jules Verne Meetings (seminars in Amiens).
