5. - PANORAMA OF THE SYNCHRONOUS ROCKERS AVAILABLE IN THE FORM OF INTEGRATED CIRCUITS
The rockers D and MAIN JK of structure SLAVE which we examined are qualified in the catalogs of the manufacturers by the term “edge triggered”, i.e. releases by face.
The synchronous rockers which commutate on the positive face of the clock signal are called “positive edge triggered”, while those which commutate on the negative face are called “negative edge triggered”.
We will present to you the synchronous rockers most used in practice, first of all those carried out in standard technology TTL or TTL-LS, then those carried out in technology C.MOS.
5. 1. - SYNCHRONOUS ROCKERS IN TECHNOLOGY TTL
5. 1. 1. - ROCKERS D
Figure 47 shows you the diagram and the stitching of the integrated circuit 7474 which contains 2 rockers D “positive edge triggered” independent.
The truth table of each rocker D is given on figure 48.
The integrated circuit 74174 contains, as for him, six rockers D “positive edge triggered”. Entries CLOCK and CLEAR are common to the six rockers. Each rocker does not have that only one exit Q. the stitching of this circuit is represented figure 49.
The truth table of each rocker D of this circuit is given on figure 50.
The integrated circuit 74175
contains four rockers D “positive edge
triggered”. Entries CLOCK and CLEAR
are common to the four rockers and each one of them has two complementary exits Q
and
.
The stitching of this circuit is represented on figure 51.
The truth table of each rocker D of this circuit is deferred on figure 52.
5. 1. 2. - ROCKERS
JK
The integrated circuit 74LS73 contains two negative rockers JK “edge triggered” with entry of restoring. The stitching of this circuit is given on figure 53.
Figure 54 gives the truth table of each rocker JK of this circuit.
The integrated circuit 74LS76 contains two negative rockers JK “edge triggered” with entries of handing-over to 0 and handing-over with 1. The stitching of this circuit is given on figure 55.
The truth table of each rocker JK is deferred on figure 56.
5. 2. - SYNCHRONOUS ROCKERS
IN TECHNOLOGY C.MOS
5. 2. 1. - ROCKERS D
The integrated circuit CD4013 contains two rockers D “positive edge triggered” with entries of handing-over to 0 and handing-over with 1. Its stitching is given on figure 57.
The truth table of each rocker of the circuit of figure 57 is given to you on figure 58.
The integrated circuit CD40174 is version C.MOS
of the integrated circuit TTL 74174.
It is compatible pin pin with this one and has the same truth table.
It is the same for the integrated circuit CD40175
which is version C.MOS of the integrated
circuit TTL 74175.
5. 2. 2. - ROCKERS JK
The integrated circuit CD4027 is a double positive rocker JK “edge triggered” with entries of handing-over to 0 and handing-over with 1. The stitching of this circuit is given on figure 59.
The truth table of each rocker of this circuit is given on figure 60.
We finished some with the examination of the synchronous rockers. In the next lesson, we will approach the examination of monostable, the rockers of Schmitt and the multivibrators astables.
